A Million Things...
Right now, while writing this blog, I am also checking the weekend weather forecast. Things are looking pretty good for our annual Fun On the Farm event Sunday afternoon, 4-7pm. You should have gotten an invitation with instructions and directions by now. If for some reason we’ve missed you this year, please call my cell phone (859.588.6642) and I’ll fill you in.
It’s funny when we’re planning anything that is important, if feels like a million things can go wrong. Before we know it we’ve become grumpy and grouchy about everything. Do you know what I mean? Families are trying to adjust with school starting back and different schedules for the household. This presents new a new set of challenges for everyone. Sleep patterns and mealtimes have all been adjusted for fall and most of us are hoping and praying not to become stressed out by it all.
This weekend is part 4 in our back to school series STAY POSITIVE - we’ll discover two practical and relevant Biblical reasons to live a life of generosity, even if you’re busy. Maybe being a generous person comes naturally for you, maybe not. We say this a lot at Journey and we really mean it: “It’s ok to not be ok.” We’re in this together and this series is hitting all the right buttons for everyone to find a better version of ourselves.
Hey, no one gets everything right, all the time. You’re in good company inside the Journey audience. Grab a seat and bring a new guest this weekend to one of our weekend worship times. Journey Saturday @6pm and Journey Sunday @10:30am.
We have a couple surprises planned for this weekend that will have you talking about this topic of ridiculous generosity for days to come. You don’t want to miss the first five minutes of this message. Did I say it would be fun?
The current weather forecast is calling for a high on Sunday of 78 and sunshine. That will be perfect for food, families, and friends on the farm Sunday afternoon. I realize there may be a million things that come up before the weekend, but will you do me a favor? Go ahead and pencil in some 'together' time at Journey worship and Fun On the Farm.
This would be a great weekend to bring a new guest with you to check things out at Journey. No matter what happens today, I’m Staying Positive.
