Weight Limit

September 15, 2016

Everyone has their own weight limit; even the Hoover Dam would break if too much pressure or weight were applied.

This weekend is part 5 of our fall series,  STAY POSTIVE. The big idea to share - God will help us retain or regain our enthusiasm! Even if you’re worn out, burned out and lost your energy this week, it’s not over. Join us this weekend.

We say it all the time, and we really mean this:  “We’re in this together.” We get how exhausting life can be, and the last thing we want to do is make you feel even worse. As a matter of fact, Journey has been working for several months on a tool to help more people continue to engage with our Journey mission from a distance.

Journey now has an app, called JCommunity, for smart phone users both on Android and Apple devices, as well as on the web for other devices. This weekend we begin live streaming our Sunday message. We hope this app will take away some of the tension many of us feel when called out to work or just unable to attend a Journey weekend in person.

This tool is not intended to replace our Journey together on weekends, but to help support our community at Journey in a more effective way. Let us know if this is a tool you find useful and helpful by visiting our JCommunity app website and filling the form at the bottom of the page.

Last weekend was one of those exciting 48 hours with God. We gave away nearly $500 at the local McDonald’s drive thru window on Sunday and Monday. Over 100 receipts piled up from random customers who were told, “Journey bought your meal.”

The icing on everything, our “Fun on the Farm” picnic was attended by over a hundred Journey family and friends. God gave us another perfect day for outdoor fun and food. Check out some of the pictures from Facebook.

This weekend is our annual Cruise-In and fund-raiser to assist the next Habitat style home build in the community. I hope you can join in the fun. Journey weekends are good for enthusiasm!  Go God.
