What does it all mean?
We’re 48 hours from Christmas Eve and everyone is scrambling to get things done. It’s maddening as we try to squeeze all those last minute details into our swelling list of things to do. We promise ourselves next year we’re not going to do this; put things off, or take on more. Unfortunately, it usually is repeated in spite of our best efforts.
At Journey, we understand the hectic time of year. We are in this together. We’ve prepared and prayed for weeks to help you make Christmas 2016 a wonderful family memory by providing options.
This Christmas is unusual because Christmas Eve is on Saturday and Christmas day is Sunday. If you’re wondering about our Journey worship schedule it will be the same times as normal. Journey Saturday @6pm on Christmas Eve. Then again, on Christmas morning, Journey @10:30am you can join us and bring a guest.
If neither of these times will work for you and your family we are also live streaming on Facebook our Christmas at the Square services Sunday at 10:30am. You may want to enjoy this option if it’s just impossible to be with us in person. It will also be available to view after the service is over. We really do mean it when we say, “We’re in this together.”
In just a few short hours, we’ll all celebrate the birthday of Jesus. Whatever your holiday traditions I hope it can include some time to reflect on the real meaning of Christmas in the world.
Tell others that Christmas helps us understand who God is and what He is like? Also, because of Christmas we find our purpose in life and know for sure that every person is valuable to God.
As you’re spinning around trying to put a wrap on everything these last couple of days never forget that Jesus is for you. He is the reason for the season.
I hope to see you, or at least have you join us online, for our 2016 Christmas at the Square. Merry Christmas!
