How Would I Know?
There are so many shoes to pick from on the sale rack. They all have features I think would be good. Some are priced just right. I wonder which pair would be the wisest investment? How does anyone ever know what to do?
Have you ever felt conflicted? Has it been difficult to make a decision? How do any of us get through the peril of so many trivial and sometimes vital decisions in life with wisdom?
Lately I have been defaulting back to this we began with a few weekends ago. “The fear of LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7 NIV
It is foolish to make decisions small or large without considering who God is in reference to every choice in life. I have discovered that, in the really hard things, I often ask God for His direction. Maybe I am not as regular in the smaller details each day. The older I become, the more aware I am that God is interested in all of it.
This weekend is another lesson from our summer series Wisdom Words, taken from the Bible and Proverbs. This week Solomon gives advice and wisdom on putting God first, above everything. Can I be frank and completely honest with you? Putting God in the details of our life, big and small, is never automatic or easy.
If you are curious to hear more from this part of the Bible join us on the weekend in our weekend services. Journey Saturday @ 6pm and Sunday @ 10:30am.
Blessings to you and your family as you look for wisdom in every day life. I realize it may be get complicated at times just buying a pair of shoes. May our good good Father give us all His wisdom to know for sure.
