I just left lunch and the gentleman I joined picked up the tab. I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t an extravagant meal but it really made me smile. What is it about unexpected acts of kindness? It really is the best way to live. Jesus said so Himself. The little things in life really do matter the most. As our summer winds down I hope you will not get so busy you forget the small things each day. And by the way, where have the summer months gone? School is back in session this week in many places. I don’t know about you but it seems my life is moving at a faster pace than ever before. I sure enjoy it when I can catch my breath for a moment. Maybe the Journey weekend is just what you need to catch your breath and find your focus as the summer winds down. This weekend is the final segment of our summer series from Proverbs, Wisdom Words. We would love to see you and even see a guest you might invite. I promise this final lesson we’ll share at Journey worship will have plenty of practical thoughts for making our life more meaningful and satisfying. I am aware everyone is extremely busy and work can be demanding. If you are working hard every day to keep things together let me say thank you. You should be congratulated for doing whatever it takes to make provision for yourself and others. God honors our effort even if goes unnoticed by others. Here’s a shout to everyone who rolls out of bed each day with a purpose. Great job. If you are feeling a bit swallowed up right now with too much to do, too much to cover, just too much, consider setting aside a little time this weekend to step away from the business and let God love you up a bit. He really is a good good Father. He really is for everybody. It is never too late to begin a new life. God says so Himself. Hey, I tell you what if you’ll give me a chance I’ll buy you lunch and listen as you share some of your summer excitement. I would love to practice a little generosity myself. It really does make me feel better also. We’re in this together. I am praying for you. I really am. Thank you for praying for me. God has us all in His mind each day. He helps rescue us from whatever our struggles. Keep smiling and help others find the hope we have in Jesus. More Jesus. Let’s be generous.
