Whether it’s your dentist or auto repair shop the question we all want to ask is, “How bad is it? This weekend is part 3 from our series in James. The message this week is another relevant follow up to last week. Last weekend was all about our manners. If you missed last weekend because of the weather it is posted online and you can still catch it. Just go to www.journeychurchsite.org
I have some really good news. The weather this weekend is in the 50’s. No more winter weather advisory for a few days. It will be such a relief for everyone to get a little break from the harsh winter weather. This weekend we’ll discuss our tongue that gets away from us at times. Who hasn’t said something that later we lived to regret? The tongue isn’t impossible to control but we all need a little help.
Journey likes to say, “We’re in this together.” What we try to communicate is that our hope is Journey becomes the place where you feel like you’ve found a family. I hope you can join us in one of our weekend services or follow us on one of our online locations. We have a Journey app and website where you can engage our weekend worship. We’re also on FB live stream each Sunday morning.
If you arrive at Journey this weekend or follow us online we hope that it feels like a place you would like to return to often. We promise we’ll do our best to be relevant and helpful with Bible messages that are never old and stale.
If you’re one of those people who enjoy movie trailers in the theater previewing what’s coming next, here’s a little teaser to get you started for this weekend: The tongue is small but powerful, necessary but dangerous, helpful but inconsistent.
Join us this weekend and bring a guest. We’ll help each other on those trouble days with our tongue. We’re in this together.
