“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8 NLT
This morning I was reading Jesus’ words from Matthew 7 in my devo. I walked away thinking how most of us can grow discouraged after time passes and nothing seems to happen. The take-away Jesus wants for all of us; never give up. Persistence really does pay.
Whether we’re waiting for spring to return after harsh winter weather or for our prescription medication to kick in and reduce our fever, don’t give up. There really are better days ahead. It’s true of seasons, illnesses, and the cycles of life. God is for us, not against us. Keep asking God to help, whatever the struggle.
This weekend we’re wrapping up our series from the Bible found in James. In the final episode we’ll share an outline very relevant for everyone. What can we do when our family is a bit at odds with each other? What are some simple but practical Biblical principles, that when practiced regularly, would reduce frequent family arguments and disagreements?
If you’re interested to hear a little more, join us at Journey weekend worship. Bring a guest and help them take a few notes. Share this blog with a friend. Tell them we offer a Sat@6 pm service for those who are not early risers or Sunday@10: 30 am with free coffee for up and early folks.
Tell others we are in this life together; we care, God cares. Whatever our life situation, don’t let dreams die too soon. It’s a long year; trust God more; wait for it. Persist a little longer when feeling certain God is guiding our life goals. God can do anything.
