Connie and I have been traveling, seeing our son, his wife, and grandchildren living in Vancouver. For several months we have been preparing ourselves for travel during COVID19 protocol. Besides getting passports and paperwork in order for crossing the border into Canada we’ve been taking care of our health with daily vitamins and eating healthy foods.
Even when not planning a future trip or traveling away from home, everyone should practice eating healthy and getting plenty of rest. Whenever finding a “good” regime for staying well during global pandemics or just normal cold and flu seasons, be generous; share with others, healthy tips.
In a similar way this is exactly what Journey Community Christian Church does every single week in our local community. We are more, much more, than Jesus followers who gather and worship in a building location on weekends. Our mission is to share practical, helpful tips for helping others remain healthy throughout the week; whatever challenges we may face.
Many of you have heard us repeat often during this pandemic: “We are better together.” We believe this has never been more true than today. Learning to partner and help one another is one of our key strategies for making everyone stronger. Small groups are one of the tools in the Journey Church toolbox which makes this possible. No one should feel isolated and alone when life storms appear. We have both in person and online groups to support you.
What this can mean in real time, wherever support is needed, prayers and people show up immediately to help. Church really is VITAL in our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. This weekend at Journey Church we return to a tiny little book hidden in the pages of the Bible. The short letter of Titus in the Bible has just 3 chapters and 896 pages. It is stocked on every shelf with positive helpful ways to be our healthy best every day.
Connie and I return and join you this weekend at Journey Church Cynthiana. I am excited to share another transformational episode from VITAL CHURCH in the Bible. As we all get stronger and healthier the plan is to share more Bible tips with others, things discovered which are really “good for you.”
“For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” Zephaniah 3:17 NLT
This is the sort of stuff which will help us all get through life together. We’ve got God and each other, everything we need.
