“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone - especially to those in the family of faith.” Galatians 6:9-10 NLT
This weekend, I am traveling out of town. Bryan Martinez, Youth Minister at Journey, is sharing a message all about small groups. I have asked him to teach and share a message which describes the added value when people stay engaged; connected at Journey through small groups.
The great thing about having Bryan on our team, he is a very capable Bible teacher and inspiring speaker. I am sure you will not want to miss what he has to share. Also, I am asking you to help us continue the momentum which has taken off the last few weeks for our weekend gathering times.
Will you consider bringing a Journey GUEST to fill the chair beside you. All our numbers are trending up. We are prepping more communion trays each week. That is an indication more people are arriving at our front door. Also, most new guests have been returning guests.
We have gotten close the last two weekends, filling available chairs on the worship floor area. What an exciting problem to have again at Journey Community Christian Church. If this trend continues (we are PRAYING it does) we’ll be grabbing more chairs from the back, very soon, for even more people.
So, I repeat, here is my ASK, if you can help!!! Will you consider being here this weekend for Bryan’s awesome message? You can help us continue this EXCITING trend = GROWING again at Journey Community Christian Church. Wow, God!
Everyone in a lead role at Journey Church has been talking about recent baptisms and energy in the room. We had two baptisms last week with more being scheduled. Clearly, God is doing something exciting that everyone can feel. I said to someone, “I think our revival has begun; God is up to something!” Go God! Let us know if we can schedule your baptism next!
One of the hardest things for all of us with busy schedules is staying on mission for God each day, everywhere we go. With work, school, and play baked-in to our lives 24/7 ask God to help us all stay focused = INVITING people to join us. We are better together.
I will wrap this up with some famous words I shared last weekend in my final lesson, LIVING BEYOND MYSELF. If you missed it, catch a few minutes of it on the Journey Church Cynthiana FB page.
Here is a quote from JOHN WESLEY - 1799. Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.
See you in a couple weeks as we launch a brand new 8 week fall series, FAITHFUl. This fall is going to be awesome. NEVER GIVE UP!
