“I will sing of the LORD’S unfailing love forever! Young and old will hear of your faithfulness. Your unfailing love will last forever. Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens.” Psalm 89:1-2 NLT

My wife still uses real paper calendars to schedule her piano students. She likes the monthly calendar on one page. She can use big square boxes to write in or erase students lessons each week. My adult children and grandchildren like to use their smart phones with helpful apps. They listen for a “ding” reminding them, alerting them of appointments and schedules to keep throughout the day.

We are all just people. We can become forgetful or busy, easily overlooking important and necessary information. When we begin to look at the Bible as a helpful tool just like our calendars and smart phone apps we begin to find the Bible more relevant in our modern life each day.

Like the verse above, the Bible is a nice reminder for younger and older people, God’s love for us will last forever. Read that verse again, right now. Let each word soak in for just a second. Doesn’t it really help you, right now, whatever your day looks like, knowing God is always there? God is faithful even when we are not!

This weekend we continue our fall series from the Bible, titled FAITHFUL. We are discovering the oftentimes, amazing stories of people like us. Who knew that the people in the Bible had periods of doubt and weak faith?

Many of those people did the hard work of renewing, refurbishing, restoring their faith during times of challenge. Each time when their faith was tested they added Biblical steps to deepen their faith. You can do that also. I hope this short article today is a reminder for you.

This weekend we’ll take a look at a guy who was successful in his career but his personal life was a struggle. In his public life he was admired by his peers but when alone, he was often discouraged about physical limitations. If you would like to read ahead a bit check out the story of Naaman found in 2 Kings 5:1-19.

This weekly article is your reminder to set aside a little time for God to speak encouragement into your life this weekend. How does that happen? I can’t exactly explain what happens = but every time the Bible is opened and we worship = God is there with us.

If you don’t have a regular church home give us a try. I think you will find us warm and welcoming just like a family. Join us at Journey Church Cynthiana Sat@6pm or Sun@10:30am. I promise, most people who arrive find new faith, deeper faith, and stronger faith before they leave.

See you this weekend. Will you help me remind others. Invite a friend to your guest….
