Be Brave

I recently watched a social media video of a young mom with three young boys at a Chick-Fil-A restaurant. She kept the two smallest toddlers in her suburban, while watching things unfold. Mom sent the oldest young man, elementary age, into the local restaurant with her credit card and a list of the breakfast order. Mom had rehearsed for several days, prepping her son for success. Once inside, he placed the order, payed for the food, returned with meals and receipts.

As the little fella climbed inside the front passenger door, rejoining mom and his brothers, she asked, “Were you nervous?” He replied, “Yes, my knees are still shaking. But I want to do it again!” The mom had decided she wanted her little guys to learn to be brave and successful through parental training, beginning while they are still very young.
Life is a test. There is no way out of this fact. People, all people, will be tested. Some of us find life filled with greater hardship, challenges, and difficulties than others. Yet, all of us will be called upon to demonstrate confidence, courage, and bravery sooner or later. I agree with this mom and her family values. With proper training and encouragement from parents our kids ability for future success increases tremendously.
This story sets me up to INVITE you to join us this weekend at Journey for our brand new series: MORE than enough. THIS weekend at Journey Community Christian Church we dive into Ezra from the Bible. Have you read it? Let us help coach you through finding confidence in life, like the little fella in the story above, going inside the restaurant for mom; discovering the satisfaction of a job well done, overcoming our fears.
In the first outline we are learning God is enough whenever starting over. This Bible lesson is just what we need for keeping our head up. Whether beginning a fresh start in a new job, friendship, relationship, or uncertain change of health, God is always more than adequate to meet our needs. Go God.
Sometimes, looking back, personal history in the past is not always kind to us. We wonder what just happened? What went wrong? No matter the past, stay positive. With God, you can overcome. God is bigger. If you want a heard start just read the first three chapters of Ezra in the Bible text. This story in the Bible will help motivate us whatever big project or challenge may appear. Go God.
God is MORE than enough!
