Snow is still on the ground from earlier in the week. It is making for frigid temperatures. Old timers would say, “One snow sticks around, waiting for another snow.” All signs are pointing toward Christmas. Shoppers scramble to find the final, perfect gift under the tree. Delivery drivers have boxes stacked to the ceiling. The calendar tells us, Christmas Eve is now just twenty days away.

As Christmas music plays in the background, everywhere — everyone is aware, what’s next. Go God. Go Christmas Season. We hope you will join us again this weekend at Journey Church Cynthiana. We’ll take a look at Romans 11:30-36. Once people learn from the Bible that God is good, mostly everyone wants to know more. This is the burning question which really matters to the world. God is not Santa, but He is good.

“The LORD is good! His love and faithfulness will last forever.” Psalm 100:5 CEV

If you’re a curious person at Christmas, shaking gifts to see if they rattle inside, wondering what’s inside the beautiful gift under the tree, jump inside and check out this message. Before we get to “Baby Jesus, born in Bethlehem,” let’s discover — more details of God’s love for people like us.

That’s really what people come to church for all year long. Tell me more about God, who loves people so much, “Baby Jesus” came to be our “gift” for all-time, all-mankind.

“God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die.” John 3:16 CEV

Millard Fuller, co-founder of Habitat for Humanity International once said:  “I had let Jesus get off my radar.” Fuller told more than 500 people, “God was calling us to change. And say, YES to Jesus. And to put Him first.”

If I could convince you of anything before Christmas arrives, get to KNOW more about God. This weekend at Journey worship gathering — we learn more about God’s mercy, mind, and majesty.

Bring a guest. Help them also keep Jesus on their radar before Christmas.  Go God.
