Since 1941 the fourth Thursday each year is our national holiday of Thanksgiving, which means the date of the holiday shifts every year. The earliest Thanksgiving can occur is November 22nd; the latest is November 28th. This year Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 27th.

In just a few days families will gather, sharing food, blessings, and expressing gratefulness for life and abundance.
“Shout praises to the LORD! You are his servants, so praise his name. All who serve in the temple of the LORD our God, come and shout praises. Praise the name of the LORD! He is kind and good.” Psalm 135:1-2 CEV
Jesus makes life possible. Only with God can we discover THANKSGIVING and the real meaning of life. More God!
This weekend we’ll reflect together in our worship time—blessings we receive because of Jesus every day. As Amy Grant said: “If anything good happens in life, it’s from Jesus.”
Spend a little time during the excitement of family and friends gathering and feasting for the holiday, how grateful for the goodness of God. Whomever has the traditional prayer at your house—before the turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy is passed around the table—include THANKS to God!
This weekend in our Journey Saturday@6pm/Sunday@10:30am worship we’ll use a passage in the Bible for giving thanks.
“Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with with joyful songs. Know the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” Psalm 100 NIV
In everything and everywhere give thanks—more like Jesus.
More God.
