Journey Community Christian Church in Cynthiana is currently in a series describing the high value God places on all people. This series may be helpful to your friends. Even when it feels as though our personal worth in the world is slipping, God turns things around. He’s always working on it. At Journey Church we say this often: People Matter Most.
Tell your friends, tell them often: People Matter Most. Let them know the Bible reinforces this position, over and over again. Every human matters and is God’s big idea. We arrive in the world with tremendous potential and possibility. This is “baked in” as a result of God’s love for the world (John 3:16). No one, no circumstance is completely and forever, irrevocably, impossible. Jesus specializes in impossible moments. Jesus changes everything.
The Bible has regular people like us, making God-size impact in the world. How? Begin by scheduling your daily walk-around-life to accomplish God’s purposes on earth. Do good stuff. Do God stuff.
“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking—around life—and place it before God as an offering.” Romans 12:1-2 MSG
And know this too: God has a good plan for YOU; for everyone!
“ ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the LORD. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, yo give you a future and a hope.’ ” Jeremiah 29:11 NLT
Knowing WHAT to do for God, helps align HOW to do it. This gives people like us a God-purpose and value in the world every day.
This weekend at Journey Church we’re going to check out the story of a lady who was verbally abused and wounded in her community, losing her dignity. If you have felt the sting of unkind words from others in your neighborhood, try this weekend lesson—in person/online Journey Church Cynthiana. Jesus' words are sure to help soothe our painful past/present injuries.
Help your friends believe God more. Tell them them YOUR Jesus story of faith and belief which led to your growth and VALUE in the world. All people have real value! We can learn to step out of the shadows of despair, into the Light of His Wonderful, Glory and Grace (Ephesians 1:6-8). Jesus changes everything.
No matter what others may spread, share, or say about us, God promises to help make things better. “Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.’ ” Matthew 11:28 NLT
Jesus will lighten our load from cruel, unkind, words of others. YOU HAVE VALUE!
