Life is Good

We all know this is true. The smiles on our faces after a wonderful vacation are hard to disguise. Or maybe you are having really good vibes today because of a very positive medical checkup. Often it is the people we care about the most, who help us smile. When they are healthy, happy and productive we become infected with their enthusiasm for life as well.

When our pets, peeps, and people are having their best day ever, so do we. Let’s spread the Good News that God is with us today. If you are having a really good season in your life, why not let others know who makes it all possible. If anything good happens in life, it’s from Jesus! Say, Amen!

God is good. This means life is good too. I’m not suggesting we’ll never experience dark clouds and sadness. Life has plenty of challenges and disappointment for everyone; some it seems, bare more heartache than others. However, circumstances in life never define our true and lasting JOY.

Difficult circumstances may briefly effect moods and happy feelings. But never do circumstances block out eternal JOY. The sun will come out tomorrow. Jesus changes everything.

“Sing to the LORD, all you godly ones! Praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” Psalm 30:4-5 NLT

If you are needing a little boost at the end of your busy week, join us, Journey Community Christian Church. Journey Sat@6pm/Siun@10:30am. You can step inside and meet new friends. You can hop online and send a wave to others from a distance. Either way, try to remember - God is for everybody. Not everybody knows. We have to tell everybody.

This weekend as we wrap up our summer series, Forgotten Virtues there is one more virtue to explore in the Bible. We’ve dived in together and taken a look at honor, purity, loyalty, integrity, and finally this weekend, we speak about the importance of GRATITUDE.

We all know this is true. We know instinctively when good things happen in life, we should say, Thank You; to whomever is responsible. It really is nice to be nice. When someone buys our meal or gifts us with tickets to the game, just say THANKS.

Someone once said, “Gratitude makes poor people rich. Ungratefulness makes rich people poor.” We know this is true. People are just people. Sometimes we just need a little reminder to gain our perspective again.

Join us this weekend. We are better together. Life is good. God is good. Jesus changes everything.

“I’m so blessed. ‘Cause on my best day, I’m a child of God. On my worst day I’m a child of God. Oh, every day is a good day. And You’re (Jesus) the reason why.” - CAIN
